Ukko: Finnhorse Gelding

The original "UKKO" is back! The master sculpture was repaired, re-signed with the year 2021 (year he was repaired) and was put back into production. This is the second ordering period of his edition - like promised back in 2020. The edition for "UKKO" is open again for orders for 2 months: from June 22nd until August 22nd.

"UKKO" is 1:11 scale, making him a large classic or small traditional. Ukko is 20 cm high and 24 cm long (approximately 7.9"x9.4"). What you'll be receiving is a white resin casting, hollow with wire reinforcements, produced by Jolt Studios in the finest quality.

Photos of "UKKO" can be viewed in his Flickr album, which you can access by clicking the gallery banner below. Most of the photos are of the original sculpture back in 2020, but I have added a few extra photos of the repaired original to the end of the album.

I've tried to preserve as much of the original as possible - except for the tiny strand of hair I've added to the mane and the updated signature under the belly. The part of the tail touching the left hind leg is slightly thicker because I needed to add volume to make sure the repair is sturdy enough for casting purposes. Same thing applies to the strand of forelock in front of the left ear.

The edition of Ukko is closed. Details below are for reference only.

Prices and Payment Options

All prices include shipping, EU prices also include VAT (24%). Non-EU orders ship directly from the caster and EU orders are shipped from Finland. This means EU customers won't need to worry about any additional customs fees/taxes.

Paid in Full / Reservation Deposit

Ukko is an open edition available for 2 months: from 22nd of June until 22nd of August. We have some stock in USA and Finland, but most of the edition is cast according to the number of orders coming in. This means there is usually a wait after sending in the order. A non-refundable deposit of 75 EUR is required when making the order, and the remaining is due only when we have cast your order and it is ready to ship. I cannot give an estimate on when a specific orders is cast and ready to ship, but once that happens you will have 30 days to pay the remaining amount.

By placing this reservation, you agree to pay the remaining amount within 30 days after it has been requested.

If one fails to pay the remaining or wishes to cancel the order at any point, the deposit is not refunded. The deposit is kept as a compensation for the time, effort and materials spent on this order.

Time Payments

I offer the option of time payments, the standard being 3 monthly payments: a down payment required to hold a copy for you, and 2 monthly payments that are due in approximately 30 days after each other.

The deadlines for each payment are stated in the invoice. Please make sure you pay each payment in time, as I won't be sending individual payment reminders. DOWN PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, so please make sure you can follow through the payment plan before purchasing.

I'm always happy to negotiate a payment plan based on individual needs! The 3 payment plan is just the standard I offer. Especially with orders of multiple castings, please contact me for a payment plan! All payment plans must be accepted by me before purchasing.

Shipping costs are calculated into the prices. When ordering multiple copies I will combine the shipping if these copies are to be shipped together. The reduction is approximately 10-20 EUR per additional copy, but I will state the exact price when making the order.

Orders from EU countries are shipped from Finland to avoid additional customs fees/taxes to the customer. All other orders are shipped directly from the caster (Jolt Studios) in USA.

Shipping time can vary from weeks to months. Unfortunately it is impossible for me to give estimates on the timing of the shipping as there are so many variables that affect the shipping pace. Typical wait is couple months, but if the number of orders is high, it can be more than 6 months.

I will be posting a shipping chart on this website. When making the order you are given an invoice/receipt with an invoice number. To protect your identity I will not use names or initials, but this number to indicate your order on the list.

The Chart

This chart is just a small portion of the "big list" and will have about 40 orders visible at any time: these are orders that have just shipped, are currently shipping or will be shipping soon. If you cannot see your number on the chart, it means your order is coming later. To get some idea when it might be on the list you can compare your number to the ones visible on the chart: smaller the number, the higher you are on the "big list".

Read the terms below carefully before placing an order.

After receiving the order, you'll have 5 days to inspect it and inform me of any damage or faults. Please make sure you inspect the casting(s) thoroughly as after the 5-day period, I will no longer offer replacements for these castings. In order to get a replacement for damaged or faulty item(s):

  • You must inform me about the damages, and provide photos that show the damage/faults clearly, within 5 days of receiving the item

  • You must ship the item back within 14 days of informing me about the damages

  • The item must be returned to the sender (to me or Jolt Studios) in the condition you received it

  • The item must be packed in the same manner it was shipped to the customer and must be shipped with tracking.

  • The customer pays all fees for the return shipping. The seller pays the shipping of the replacement.

  • The replacement will be shipped after I have received the returned damaged item. It might take awhile to replace the item, if I'm out of stock at that moment, but I guarantee that if a replacement isn't sent within 6 months of receiving the returned item(s), I'll offer the customer the option of a refund.

Under EU rules, all EU customers have the right to cancel and return the order within 14 days of receiving the items. This does not apply to damaged items. In order to get a refund for cancelled orders:

  • You must inform me about wanting to cancel the order within 14 days of receiving the item.

  • You must ship the item back within 14 days of informing me you want to cancel the order.

  • The item must be returned to the seller in FINLAND in the condition you received it.

  • The item must be packed in the same manner it was shipped to the customer and must be shipped with tracking.

  • The customer pays all fees for the return shipping.

  • Once I have received the item, in the condition it was shipped to the customer, you will have a refund of the amount of the original price within 14 days.

Please note, that though canceling the order is your right under the EU rules, it will affect your chances to participate in my future sales. I offer a lot of high quality photos of the items I'm selling to ensure the customer sees exactly what they are getting. I consider anyone, who cancels the order despite all the information and photos made available to them, a high risk for my business in future.
